One of the reasons I made the trip back east when I did, was to get the final finishing touches about the plight of the fishing industry in Gloucester. I met some people deeply committed to seeing that their traditions and livelihood survive, and some who many have given up hope due to the severe restrictions in catch allowances, or allotments they are all facing. Stay tuned, I'll shine more light on that topic as well as others. Two of my characters, Ignatius Booth, who owns a Day Boat named "Dark Horse," and his deck hand Henry Banes Ransom, fish out of the Gloucester Port.
